- 4 cups all-purpose flour or 500 gr
- 1 packet instant dry yeast 7g
- 300 ml 1 ¼ cups warm water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon honey for boiling water
- Egg wash: 1 beaten egg or milk
- Your favorite toppings
In a stand mixer with a dough hook, mix flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and water for 10 minutes.
Cover with a damp towel and let it rise for 1-2 hours.
Divide dough into 8 pieces, shape into bagels, and preheat the oven to 230°C (450°F).
Bring water to a boil, add 1 tbsp honey, and boil bagels for 30 sec per side.
Place on a parchment-lined tray, brush with egg wash or milk, add toppings, and bake for 20 minutes.
