Easy & Vegan Golden Milk/Turmeric Latte: Warm & cozy fall drink full of health benefits, perfect for the fall and winter months.

- 1.5 cup canned coconut milk
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbs maple syrup
- 1 turmeric root 1-2 inch
- 1 ginger root 1 inch
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 vanilla pod optional, you can also use vanilla extract
- pinch of freshly cracked black pepper
Peel the turmeric and the ginger root.
In a pan, add the turmeric, ginger, cinnamon and vanilla. Cover with 1 cup of water and wait for water to boil.
Once the water boils, cover the pan and lower the heat. Cook for around 10 minutes or until the water changes color and becomes fragrant.
Strain and save the liquid. This will be your turmeric infusion.
Warm the milk in a pan or microwave. If you have a milk frother, use it to add foam to your latte.
Serve in a mug: Add 1 part infusion, 1 part milk and 1 tbs of maple syrup. Mix well. Enjoy!
