Ingredients you will need:
- Pizza dough – can be store bought or you can make it yourself, I will post the recipe below.
- Apples
- Cooked beets
- Goat Cheese
- Shredded almonds
- Fresh Sage
- Oregano
- Rugula
- Balsamic glaze

How to make balsamic glaze:
For this recipe, a store-bought balsamic glaze was used, as it is less time consuming and practical. If you can’t find it, you can make the glaze yourself.
In a pot, in medium heat, add 1-2 cups of balsamic vinegar of choice. Add 3 tablespoons of sugar (of your choice). Let reduce, stirring constantly until vinegar has caramelised and has a thicker consistency. Let cool and use.
Equipment you will need:
- baking tray
- oven
- mandolin (optional but makes your life much easier, I didn’t use one for this recipe as I do not have one)
- If you are making the pizza dough yourself you can do it using a bowl and a wooden spoon or if you have a stand mixer, then use it with the hook.
Tips and Recommendations
- Rectangle shape gives it a better look but feel free to do any shape you would like.
- Cook your beets the night before or buy them pre-cooked at the store for a quicker process.
- Each oven is different, this pizza took 20 minutes. Check after the first 10 minutes.

Goat Cheese Pizza With Apples, Beets and Fresh Sage
Ingredients
- 1 pizza base or dough read blog post for recipe
- 1 apple sliced
- 1 cooked beet sliced
- 200 grams goat cheese
- 2 tbs sliced almonds
- bunch fresh sage
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 cup rugula optional
- balsamic glaze optional
Instructions
- Pre-heat the oven to 180 degree Celsius.
- In a lined baking tray, lay the pizza dough.
- Add the sliced apples and beets throughout. Add the goat cheese all over the pizza.
- Top the pizza with the almonds, fresh sage and oregano.
- Bake until golden. Each oven is different, this pizza took 20 minutes. Check after the first 10 minutes.
- (Optional) Top with rugula and balsamic glaze once out of the oven.
