Happy self-care!!
Do you suffer from cellulite? Don't worry, around 90% of women do. If you are one of the 90%, then you need to know about this trick. A homemade sugar-coffee body scrub to help improve the appearance of cellulite.
This recipe makes skin so smooth and slowly improves the look of cellulite if you regularly use it. This scrub does wonders to your skin if you use it before going to the beach or the pool as it significantly decreases the look of cellulite. Even though, this is not a permanent solution for cellulite, it does a great job covering it for a few hours. It also exfoliates perfectly and leaves your skin feeling like silk.
A few benefits of sugar-scrubbing your skin:
- Fights skin ageing in a natural way
- Exfoliates, removes dead skin and leaves a smooth texture
- Can help remove small bumps on skin
- Helps prevent in-grown hairs if used before depilation
A few benefits of caffeine on the skin:
- Improves blood circulation
- Tightens the skin
- Provides antioxidants which are absorbed by the skin
For best results, moisturise with a thick body butter or oil after scrubbing. Your skin will be so smooth and gorgeous. Do this 1-2 times per week and you will be unrecognisable!
Note: Please do not use this scrub on your face, only on your body. Sugar particles can be too rough for facial skin.
DISCLAIMER: This sugar-coffee scrub will not remove your cellulite. The only way to reduce cellulite is by having a healthy diet, losing weight, exercise, drinking water and limiting alcohol consumption. However, this sugar-coffee will help mask and improve the appearance of your skin temporarily.
Substitutions: in case you don’t have coconut oil, you can change it for olive oil. Any other oil will work well but won’t have the added benefits of coconut oil or olive oil. Brown sugar could also be substituted for regular caster sugar.
Recipe
Ingredients:
1 part coconut oil
1 part brown sugar
½ part coffee grounds
Essential oils (optional)
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients until they are well combined. The essential oils are optional, however they play an important role in the scent of the scrub and will give the scrub extra aromatherapy benefits.
To use it, just massage your body with the scrub and then just wash it off as you would wash any soap.
