If you use Instagram, you probably know the Kardashian family. If you follow them, then you have probably seen this olive oil cake everyone is talking about. Considering that the company making these cakes are overwhelmed with orders, let us make this citrus olive oil cake ourselves.
During the 2020 Coronavirus quarantine, the world became obsessed with banana bread and sourdough bread. Right after the Kardashians posted stories on their Instagram, the olive oil cake became an internet sensation. In fact, the bakery where this cake was originally made, received more than 500 orders on the same day that the Kardashians shared it.
Celebrities such as Chrissy Teigen, Kylie Jenner, Shay Mitchell and others, joined the olive oil cake craze.
Enough talk, let’s make this cake. The ingredients for the olive oil cake are very simple, and you likely have them at home. The recipe used came from the About Olive Oil page, but I doubled the recipe for the cake you see in the picture.
Ingredients for the Citrus Olive Oil Cake
- 1 1/4 cups flour

- 1/3 cup olive oil
